Green Sod  Ireland's 2016 Christmas Fair - celebrating the humble apple, was another very successful event - thank you to one and all who gave their support.


Members of the Green Sod Team attended the Galway Volunteer Centre party, celebrating 10 years - a great occasion. Well done Donncha.


The Green Sod Team enjoyed a Christmas breakfast together in Ard Bia, Spanish Arch, Galway City to mark all the hard work of the volunteers. Ard Bia, as ever, provided delicious food, from the hippy fry to pancakes to savoury beany stew with Turkish flatbread. It was a great occasion and we enjoyed each others company and the Green Sod directors availed of the opportunity to offer a collective pat on the back to everyone, and wished one and all a Happy and Prosperous New Year for 2017.


Within the Green Sod organisation there is an ongoing process of the development of organizational complexity theory, working under the guidance of Professor Eve Mitleton-Kelly of the London School of Economics, and in conjunction with NUIGalway.


August 1st, 2016 Green Sod's generous benefactor, David Rowe, died - Ar dheis Dé gp raibh a anam dílis.
